The golf tournament, titled “Taylormade Fore Craig,” will take place at Cross Creek Country Club. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of ALS and raise money for ALS research to find a cure. All money raised will go to benefit research.
“The money is not going to Craig, but it’s important to his family to find a cure,” Farah Davis, organizer said. “We want to help to find a cure.”
The tournament will begin on Oct. 6 with lunch at 11:30 a.m., then tee time will take place at 1 p.m. The tournament will be captain’s choice, 18 holes, with four-person teams. The cost of registration is $90 per person or $325 per team, which includes green fees and cart, refreshments during play, and lunch at the pavilion. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, in addition to the female and male with the longest drive.
More sponsors are needed for the tournament, with sponsorship levels at $750, $500, $250 and $150. The sponsorship levels are named in honor of Hunter’s children — C.J., Gaines, Worth and Mary Grace.
