Neon Park (1940-1993)

PDF version

Born Martin Muller, Neon Park was an artist who became famous around the world for his striking designs that graced the covers of nearly every Little Feat album in existence. Park loved to apply his keen eye for surrealism to dogs, ducks and inanimate objects that he would bring to life. In addition to Little Feat, Park also created art for Frank Zappa, David Bowie and the Beach Boys. He met his wife, filmmaker and painter Chick Strand in the early 60's in Berkeley California. The pair lived together in both Los Angeles and in a small town in Mexico for over 30 years. You do not have to be a product of the 60's or the 70's to recognize Park's iconic design that has become synonymous with the soul stirring music of Little Feat.

Sadly Park was diagnosed with ALS in 1992 and died a year later at the age of 53. Loved by thousands, Little Feat has used their notoriety, fame and cult following to strike back at the disease that claimed their friend much too soon. Using every available opportunity on their tours, Little Feat has helped to raise much needed awareness for the disease and thousands of dollars for cutting edge ALS research and services. Now, Little Feat is asking fans to join them in their fight to defeat ALS.

When you make a tax-deductible donation to The ALS Association, you help support nationally directed research efforts, as well as provide much needed services to people with ALS and their families.
