On October 19th avid golfers, devoted hackers and dedicated volunteers will unite for a day of food and fun at the prestigious Tournament Players Club at Wakefield Plantation.  The location could not be more beautiful and the time of year is perfect for golf.  The most important thing is that all of the proceeds benefit people with Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Highlights include breakfast, windshirts and hats for every player, prizes, hole in one cars to win, a silent auction and a short presentation after lunch.  Following the presentation there will be a hot air balloon golf ball drop.  This part of the event is open to the public and it is a site to behold.  People can purchase golf ball drop tickets for $10 each which entitles them to golf balls with matching numbers.  All of the sponsored golf balls are placed in the basket, dropped over a hole and the balls closest to the pin qualify for various prizes.  The top prize is $1,000!

Golf sponsorship opportunities are still available.  If you are interested in playing or sponsoring a hole please contact Wes Hare (wesh@theodavis.com or 919.389.3459).  To purchase hot air balloon golf ball drop tickets or to donate auction items please contact Jennifer Oliver by email or toll free 1-877-568-4347 as soon as possible.  To view our tournament brochure click here
