ALS Boxing Champion- Paul Marinaccio takes on Chris Byrd on ESPN2!
Nassau Bahamas , April 18, 2007
Raleigh's own Paul "The Italian Hitman" Marinaccio, is set to fight Chris Byrd on ESPN2's "Wedneday Night Fights." The 10 round heavyweight bout will take place in Nassau, Bahamas on Wednesday, April 18th at 10:00 pm (please check local listings).
Paul became involved with our Chapter shortly after his mentor, Mike Skipper was diagnosed with ALS in 2004. Since then, Paul has made it his personal mission to "Knock Out ALS" by participating in the Triangle Walk to D'Feet ALS and by using his celebrity to raise much needed awareness for our cause. He plans to wear a t-shirt with the message "Knock Out Lou Gehrig's Disease" and our website www.CatfishChapter.org. I invite you to tune in and cheer on Paul as he takes on Chris Byrd and ALS on Wednesday. Go Paul!!
