ALS Patient Morrie Schwartz Interview to be Featured on ABC News: Nightline
November 22, 2005
Helping to raise awareness about ALS on a national level, we are pleased to share that on Tuesday November 22, Ted Koppel’s final broadcast for ABC News: Nightline will feature a rebroadcast of his interview with Morrie Schwartz, the Brandeis University professor who passed away of ALS.
Morrie’s battle with the disease came to public attention as the result of Mitch Albom’s acclaimed book, “Tuesdays with Morrie.” Koppel will also talk with Albom during the Nightline broadcast. Please check your local listings for broadcast time.
As one of our supporters in the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), I know you realize the importance of raising awareness about the disease and the devastating impact it has on patients and family members. As more people learn about ALS, it is our hope that more people will support the work of The ALS Association and our mission to find a cure for and improve living with ALS.
We hope you will tune in to what should be an emotional program, and that you will let your friends know about the television broadcast, as well.
If after watching the show you have any questions about the work of The ALS Association, and our efforts to eradicate this disease, please feel free to contact me toll-free at 888-949-2577 or via e-mail at janet@alsa-national.org.
With warm regards,
Janet Young

P.S. Thank you for your continued support of The ALS Association
