Catfish Classic 2009 Raises Close to $60,000!

The TPC Wakefield Plantation Golf Course in Raleigh welcomed golfers from throughout the state. After a quick bite to eat and a few practice swings at the driving range, golfers hopped in their golf carts and began the event. After their round of golf, participants were treated to a catered lunch, a silent auction, which offered an opportunity to bid on World Series tickets, and a presentation about ALS and the Catfish Chapter. That Catfish Chapter welcomed Dr. Bedlack from the Duke ALS Clinic and Larry Kincaid, a Person with ALS, to share their experiences with the disease. 

 

A very special thanks to the Catfish Classic Planning Committee: Wes Hare, Ken Penkowski, Cameron Macon, Terry Beal, Jill Rusinko, and Jake Fehling for planning such a wonderful event. Their commitment to the Chapter is greatly appreciated. 

 

1st Prize:  $1000 - Dora Beal

2nd Prize:  Durham Bulls skybox for one regular season game - Patti Rusinko

3rd Prize:  Free foursome of golf at TPC Wakefield - Gary Rondina

4th Prize:  2 lower-level tickets to a Hurricanes regular season game - Jim Mims

5th Prize:  $50 gift card to Texas Steakhouse - Bill Zeiss
